Eleni Tsiplakou graduated (2005) with a BSc in Agricultural Sciences from the Agricultural University of Athens (Greece). She then attained MSc in Animal Nutrition from the Agricultural University of Athens in 2006 and then a PhD in Animal Nutrition from the Agricultural University of Athens in 2008. She carried out research at Reading University in the Departments of Agriculture and Food Biosciences for four months in 2009 as visitor researcher and then she got a grant from the State Scholarship Foundation of Greece for twelve months (2010-2011) to do Postdoctoral research at the Department of Nutritional Physiology and Feeding of the Agricultural University of Athens. In July 2009 she was appointed as Lecturer at the Department of Nutritional Physiology and Feeding (Faculty of Animal Sciences and Aquaculture) of the Agricultural University of Athens. The current research interests are: effect of diet on genes expression in adipose tissue, mammary secretory cells and meat and effect of different diets on milk and meat fatty acids profile of small ruminants.
