Konstantinos Fegeros graduated (1981) with a BSc in Animal Sciences from the Agricultural University of Athens (Greece). From 1981 to 1985 he did his PhD at the Dept of Nutritional Physiology and Feeding in the same University. Konstantinos was appointed as Research Fellow at the Dept of Nutritional Physiology and Feeding (1981-1988), and subsequently as Lecturer (1988), Senior Lecturer (1996), Associate Professor (2002) and Professor (2009). President of the National Agricultural Research Foundation (2005-2007), Head of the Faculty of Animal Sciences and Aquaculture (2009-2010) and Rector (2010-present) of the Agricultural University of Athens. General Secretary of the Hellenic Society of Animal Sciences (since 2008). His research interests include: nutritive evaluation of feedstuffs and feed additives in animal feeding, applied animal nutrition with emphasis on monogastrics, quantitative and qualitative effects of nutrition on animal products.
