Mr. Georgios Konstantinou obtained his certificate from a Technical Professional School in the field of Electronics in 1992. He belongs to Technical and Teaching Personnel of the Department of Applied Hydrology since 2001. The field of his work is the electrical (water and air pump installation, maintenance of cooling apparatus, maintenance of power generator etc.), hydraulic (installation and maintenance of oxygenation system, as well as of all pipes necessary for the recirculation of water in the closed fresh and seawater systems etc.) and constructive (construction and repair of all kinds of tanks, construction and maintenance of mechanical and biological filters etc.) support of all the lab installations and the closed fresh and seawater systems. In addition, he participates in the research activities (blood sampling, anatomy and body measurements of experimental specimens, operation, maintenance and demonstration of research equipment, preparation of practical courses, preparation of permanent samples and chemical reagents etc.) and educational activities (supervision of educated students) of the lab. He is also responsible for the transportation of live fish from fish farms or from the field to the laboratory, provision of fish feeds and electrical-mechanical equipment, transportation of sea water from the field to laboratory installations, supervising of fish populations etc.
