With the dramatic increase in the world population in the coming decades, Animal Science will be called upon to play a decisive role in food security, sustainable development of livestock farming, animal welfare and environmental protection. The Department of Animal Science of the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) is a historically recognized Department, which has been serving the animal production sector continuously since 1920.
