Short Biography

Dr Eleni Miliou is a Biologist (BSc 1981) with postgraduate studies in Hydrobiology and Aquaculture (MSc 1984, PhD 1990). She is Professor of Applied Hydrobiology and participates in the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses of the Department of Animal Science of Agricultural University of Athens (AUA). She is the Head of the Laboratory of Applied Hydrobiology (LAH). She has been the Co-ordinator of twelve research funded programs, Scientific Responsible of the research conducted by the AUA in seven research projects and participated in another nine. Currently, Dr. E. Miliou is the Scientific Responsible of WP7 “Research to Education” of the “EU-CONEXUS Plus” project and a member of the Academic Council and the Research Council of EU-CONEXUS, as well as of the ERASMUS MUNDUS Joint Master in Marine Biotechnology at the AUA, within the framework of the European University EU-CONEXUS. She has published 62 scientific papers in international peer-reviewed scientific journals with h-index 19 (Scopus). He is Vice Rector of European University, Internationalization and Student Affairs since 2023.
