Dr Politis obtained his Ph.D in 1989 from McGill University in Canada. He was a Research Associate in the Department of Animal and Poultry Science of the University of Guelph in Canada between 1989-2000 and at Cornell University (Department of Animal Science) in USA between 1990-1993 and an Assistant Professor in a tenured track position in the Department of Animal and Food Science at the University of Vermont in USA between 1993-1996. He has published more than 100 research papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals (h-index 26, Web of Science and 34, Google Scholar).
